LEARN BY DOING

Use cases & applications

Automated CI/CD pipeline

Set up a pipeline that automatically builds, tests and deploys an application on every commit to the main branch.

Proactive monitoring and alerting

Integrate monitoring and alerting tools early in the development cycle to catch performance issues before they reach production.

Reproducible environment management

Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to create identical development, test and production environments and avoid the 'it works on my machine' syndrome.

Frequently asked questions

Is DevOps a job or a culture?

It's first and foremost a culture of collaboration between development (Dev) and operations (Ops) teams, backed by practices (CI/CD, IaC) and automation tools.

What is CI/CD?

CI (Continuous Integration) is the practice of integrating code into a shared repository frequently. CD (Continuous Delivery/Deployment) is the automation of releasing or deploying to production.

What is Infrastructure as Code (IaC)?

It's the practice of managing and provisioning infrastructure (servers, networks, load balancers) through versioned configuration files (code), such as with Terraform or Ansible, rather than through manual configuration.
