Oracle VM VirtualBox #
We will use Virtualbox to deploy our test VMs. Some labs will be done on Docker, so if you already have a Docker engine you can use it instead of deploying a new VM.
You must proceed with the installation of Virtualbox by following the procedure corresponding to your system:
https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/DownloadsHashicorp Vagrant #
We will use Vagrant to automatically deploy test environments. To learn more about Vagrant, you can follow our dedicated course.
You must proceed with the installation of Vagrant by following the procedure corresponding to your system:
https://developer.hashicorp.com/vagrant/installFrom concept to expertise #
We have preconfigured a repo for the training.
Git Repo
You can use the command below to clone the repo:
git clone https://github.com/RousselTM/docker-formationEnvironment selection
The test environment configuration is located in the repository's
tpfolder: aVagrantfilethat creates three Ubuntu 24.04 VMs with Docker already installed:controlplane(192.168.56.10),worker1(192.168.56.11) andworker2(192.168.56.12). Single-machine labs usecontrolplane.cd docker-formation/tpEnvironment creation
From the
tpfolder, create the environment on Virtualbox. For a single-machine lab, you can create only thecontrolplaneVM:vagrant up # the three VMs vagrant up controlplane # a single VMVM Access
You can access the VM by running the following command:vagrant ssh controlplane
