1. What is Session Segmentation for? #
Filter real user sessions to understand a specific group.
The principle #
Session Segmentation filters real user sessions on many criteria, then opens a session or a user's full history. It is the tool to answer “what do mobile Safari users in Belgium experience?”.
2. Key features #
What the app offers.
Overview #
| Feature | Role |
|---|---|
| Filtres | Web, mobile or custom app, browser, OS, location, user tag, conversion, rage clicks, experience score |
| Sessions en cours | Live or completed sessions |
| Utilisateur | All sessions of a user, including across devices |
| Résultats | The first 500 sessions, newest first |
3. Getting started #
First steps.
Step by step #
- Open Session Segmentation.
- Add filters: application, browser, country, rage clicks.
- Open a session and follow the journey.
- Cross with Error Inspector.
Prerequisites #
- RUM enabled, with user tags to follow a signed-in user.
Sample. The list stops at the first 500 sessions: to count, use a DQL query or a funnel rather than the list.
