At your pace, through practice.
By the end of this course you will be able to
Position Fluent Bit among log collectors
Configure Fluent Bit pipelines (inputs, parsers, filters, outputs) in YAML
Handle multiline, buffering and recovery
Deploy Fluent Bit on Kubernetes and enrich logs with metadata
Monitor Fluent Bit and migrate from Fluentd
🎯 Level : Intermediate👥 Who it is for : DevOps, SREs and platform engineers collecting logs on servers and Kubernetes clusters
Fluent Bit, written in C, uses a few megabytes of memory: it is built for per-node agents. Fluentd, written in Ruby, is still useful as an aggregator with its many plugins, but new deployments favour Fluent Bit.
Does Fluent Bit support OpenTelemetry?
Yes: it receives and sends OTLP (opentelemetry input and output) for logs, metrics and traces.
