[TP] Project 2: RUM

For this lab, we will complete a project which will have as a prerequisite the completion of project 1.

What you will learn in this TP :
  • DEM
  • RUM
  • Collect identification information of real users for an application where you may or may not have access to the code (SaaS APP).
  • Cost of RUM
  • Cost of Session replay

Introduction

What you will learn in this section :
  • DEM
  • RUM
  • Collect identification information of real users for an application where you may or may not have access to the code (SaaS APP).

This project aims to make you master the user experience (RUM) in Dynatrace.

Test Environment

To complete this lab, you must have fully completed 'project 1'.

Cost Management

What you will learn in this section :
  • Cost of RUM
  • Cost of Session replay

This section aims to make you master cost management when doing RUM
  1. General configuration
For the entire environment, you must enable Real User Monitoring and only capture 20% of the traffic.
  2. Specific configuration
You must choose a particular web application and change its capture rate to 70%.
  3. Session Replay
For the entire environment, you must enable Session Replay and only capture 20% of the traffic.
