LEARN BY DOING
ALB, Auto Scaling across zones, Multi-AZ RDS and static content on S3 and CloudFront.
API Gateway, Lambda and DynamoDB: pay per request, no servers to manage.
Organizations, Identity Center, CloudTrail, GuardDuty and Security Hub.
No: the labs use LocalStack, which emulates AWS services on your machine with Docker. You can later run the same commands on a real account (free tier) by simply dropping the "local" prefix.
The community edition covers S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, IAM (without policy enforcement), mocked EC2, and more. Some features (strict IAM enforcement, real RDS, EKS) need the paid edition or a real account.
Cloud Practitioner (CLF-C02) validates the fundamentals; Solutions Architect Associate (SAA-C03) is the most sought-after technical certification. Both have a preparation path at the end of the course.
