LEARN BY DOING
Cloud Run, Firestore and Pub/Sub: scale to zero.
BigQuery and Looker to analyse massive volumes in SQL.
No: the labs use the official Pub/Sub and Firestore emulators (shipped with gcloud) and fake-gcs-server for Cloud Storage. The same code then works on Google Cloud once the emulator variables are removed.
The concepts are similar; Google Cloud stands out with its global VPC, anycast-IP load balancer, BigQuery and a reference Kubernetes (GKE).
